A LAWNMOWER company's brand presence has helped it join the celebrity ranks alongside stars such as Madonna, David Bowie and Bruce Willis.
Flymo, based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, has become the latest to own a unique piece of artwork by exclusive Swedish artist Gunilla Lagerhem-Ullberg. The artwork was presented to the firm for winning the Electrolux Group Global Brand Excellence Award.
The prize, a striking wall hanging, was recognition for the successful development of the Flymo brand and the launch of the new Flymo Vision Compact mower.
Andrew Mackay, UK marketing manager at Electrolus Outdoor Products, said: "The mower, entirely designed and produced here at Newton Aycliffe, has been a stunning success, taking us to a position where one in every two mowers bought in the UK is a Flymo."
