THREE teenagers have an appointment to meet the Princess Royal next week.
Princess Anne is the Commandant in Chief of the St John Ambulance Cadets, and the three youngsters are members of the organisation's North Yorkshire and Teesside region.
Lorna Brown, 18, of Witney, David Hunter, 19, of Northallerton, and Ellen Tebbutt, 17, of Stockton, will be travelling to Buckingham Palace next Wednesday.
Ellen has already been judged as the North Yorkshire and Teesside County Cadet of the Year and both Lorna and David hold the Grand Prior Award - the highest recognition cadets can achieve and which includes 12 areas of study and takes at least three years to complete.
