The following cases were heard by Darlington magistrates yesterday.

CASE ADJOURNED: The case against Gianni Ross, 42, of Geneva Road, Darlington, who is accused of two counts of receiving stolen goods, was adjourned until May 6.

GUILTY PLEA: Yasmin Sutheran, 22, of Geneva Road, Darlington pleaded guilty to possessing three wraps of heroin. She was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £80 costs. Magistrates ordered the drugs to be destroyed.

YOUTH CHARGED: A 17-year-old from Darlington appeared in court accused of burgling a property in Corporation Road in the town on March 1. He is also accused of being a passenger in a car that was taken without consent. The case was adjourned to the Darlington Youth Court on March 14.

PLEAS ENTERED: Bruce Glen, 28, of McMullen Road, Darlington has pleaded not guilty to three dishonesty charges. The case was adjourned until April 15. Mr Glen was granted unconditional bail.

NEW DATE: The case against Hayley Short, 18, of Greenbank Court, Darlington, was adjourned until March 25. She is accused of using threatening behaviour on September 6. Ms Short was granted unconditional bail.

DISTRESS CHARGE: Darren Sturdy, 28, of Barmpton Lane, Darlington, has pleaded guilty to a charge of causing alarm or distress on March 21. Sentencing was adjourned until April 1. Sturdy was granted unconditional bail.
