CHILDREN put on hard hats yesterday during a visit to a building site.
The youngsters from the reception class at Gurney Pease Primary School, in Darlington, were given a tour of the Alexander housing development on the town's Allan Street.
The visit was intended to show the children the dangers of playing on building sites, as well as showing them how such developments take shape.
