THE remains of one of the region's oldest woods are the focus of a photographic exhibition at the Thornley Woodlands Centre, Rowlands Gill from next Friday to Sunday, April 27.
The exhibition follows a two-year project by the Hexham Photography Group which focuses upon the ancient woodlands of Tynedale and the surrounding areas.
Exhibition curator John Bradshaw said: "The remains of our oldest woods tend to be in inaccessible places, near steep-sided river banks and streams, making them visually exciting places."
