A NURSERY pulled out the stops to support one of the biggest fundraising events of the year.
The Old Bridge Children's Day Nursery, in Shincliffe Village, joined in the spirit of Red Nose Day with the rest of the nation.
Staff member Colin Musgrave had his head shaved and moustache dyed red, while a cake depicting a face with a red nose was raffled.
The events netted £620 for Comic Relief to the surprise and delight of the management.
Nursery owner Howard Warmsley said: "We thought that if we raised £300 we would be doing really well but we have more than that figure. The staff have really done well, they have really made a project of it."
