AMATEUR actors are celebrating their society's 50th anniversary by staging their 100th show.

Bedale Dramatic Society is 50 years old this year and for its spring production in April has chosen the farce Will You Still Love Me in the Morning?

Throughout its existence the society has never repeated a play and only twice has it failed to put on a show at the scheduled time.

The first production was JB Priestley's play When We Are Married and relatives of the cast of that show are in the forthcoming production.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the society is planning a reunion of past members and patrons.

Publicity officer Jill Simpson wants to hear from anyone connected to the society. Telephone (01609) 775875.
