A LAW firm is urging the Government to resolve pension inequalities.
Gordon Brown Associates, in Chester-le-Street, wants the pensions system to be made fairer for married women.
At the moment, when a woman reaches 60, she receives the full state pension of £75.50 a week, but only until her husband reaches 65. After that, the most she can receive is 60 per cent of the state pension.
A spokesman for the firm said it was calling on the Government to change the law.
