PREPARATIONS to bring one of the country's most famous locomotives to Darlington will continue today.
Officials from Darlington Railway Centre and Museum are meeting contractors with a view to freeing up space to create a showpiece exhibition with the Blue Peter loco.
Haulage firm GCS Johnson has agreed to transport Blue Peter from its base on the North York Moors to the North Road museum. Talks are taking place this morning aimed at establishing how exhibits can be moved to make way for Blue Peter.
John Wilkes, of the museum, said they were hoping to have the locomotive in the town by Easter.
