A Bishop Auckland man who admitted a string of motoring offences has been jailed for five months.
Brian Milner Speight, 24, of St Chad's Close, Bishop Auckland, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court yesterday.
He pleaded guilty to four offences of driving while disqualified, four of having no insurance and one of having a defective tyre.
He asked for ten other offences to be taken into account, and another seven were proved in his absence.
Magistrates jailed Speight for five months for each of the offences of driving while disqualified, to run concurrently.
There was no separate penalty for the other offences, but Speight was disqualified for two years and ordered to take an extended driving test.
