THE country's first qualification in the transfer of knowledge, launched yesterday by Universities for the North-East, is expected to be a welcome boost for industry in the region.
The postgraduate certificate in knowledge transfer is being led by the University of Sunderland and is aimed at full-time university staff that work with industry.
Using university expertise to help develop businesses is central to the Government's and regional development agency One NorthEast's strategy for future prosperity.
