BLUES band The Vast Majorities played at a charity night at St Augustine's Parish Church on Friday to raise money for the MS Society in Darlington.
The evening raised £1,500 which will help buy a specially adapted caravan for MS sufferers to use.
The caravan will be open in May and fundraising will continue to keep it open particularly during MS Awareness Week in April.
The group has also received £750 from the Freemasons of County Durham and £500 from Yarm Preparatory School.
Forthcoming events include a coffee morning at St Augustine's Church on Tuesday from 10.30am and a collection in the Cornmill Centre on Saturday, April 12.
