ARTISTS from all over the North-East have been honoured in the annual Dover Prize, in Darlington.
The prize promotes art and rewards amateur and professional artists for their drawings, paintings and prints.
Chris Newbrook, from Newcastle, won the competition with his acrylic work, Fairground Embers.
Megan Burford, of Darlington, was second with her watercolour, Catnap, and Wilf Lancaster, of Hartlepool, was third with Rhythm in Charcoal.
Highly commended prizes went to Edward Tibbs, Amanda Calow, George Hutchinson, Alan Dyson, Michael Attewell and Nicholas Leake.
The winning pieces are being exhibited at the Town Hall Gallery, in Darlington.
