TWO stars of television comedy made a serious plea yesterday to back their North-East hospices.
Vicki Michelle who was in the hit TV comedy, 'Allo 'Allo, and Giles Watling, a star of the situation comedy, Bread, are backing a ten-mile sponsored walk from Middlesbrough to Stockton, to raise money for the Teesside Hospice, in Middlesbrough, and the Butterwick Hospice, in Stockton.
The Erimus Walk is being organised by the Rotary Club of Middlesbrough, for late June. Last year, the club organised a walk over the Transporter Bridge.
The two celebrities are both appearing in Don't Dress for Dinner, being staged at the Billingham Forum.
