PLANS to build a tunnel to house plants at a Darlington nursery were approved yesterday, despite a woman's concerns that her house was being damaged because of the heavy traffic.
Darlington Borough Council's planning committee approved the installation of the 45-metre tunnel at the council-run Woodburn Nursery, in Salutation Road.
Irene Ord, who owns a house in Coniscliffe Road, voiced her concerns about the increase in traffic and noise from extra business generated by the new tunnel.
She said: "A number of cracks have appeared in the house and we are monitoring these and will seek legal redress if necessary."
Another letter was received by the planning committee from a resident in support of the application.
