A CONFERENCE on bullying in schools will be staged in the North-East tomorrow.
The Action Against Bullying event, organised by the Children Against Bullying in School (Cabs) with the support of Newcastle City Council and the Children's Fund, will be held at St James' Park, Newcastle.
The event, attended by delegates from schools and educational authorities across the region, will include presentations from experts.
There will also be workshops looking at different ways of tackling bullying, including text message attacks.
Newcastle Cabs project co-ordinator Melanie Scott said: "The aim of the conference is to disseminate and share good practice in respect of bullying issues.
"We want to empower children to enable them to access their right to education without fear of harm or abuse and hope that this conference will help schools achieve this," she said.
