Two men have appeared in court charged with taking part in a raid on a North-East building society which netted more than £30,000.
Stephen McGovern and Brian James McNally, from Liverpool, appeared before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe today.
Both are charged with stealing £32,285 in cash from Darlington Building Society in the town's Yarm Road on Wednesday afternoon.
McGovern, 24, and McNally, 45, both of Brook Hey Drive, Liverpool, both declined to enter pleas. They were granted conditional bail.
The case was adjourned and the pair are next due to appear at Darlington Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 22.
Police are still looking for two other men in connection with the burglary and none of the cash has been recovered.
