A FAMILY-RUN fish and chip shop received an award from regular customer Sir Jimmy Savile.
Sir Jimmy presented Andrea Sunley and David Almond with a Sea Fish Fryers award.
Their White Horse Cafe fish and chip take away and restaurant in Thirsk and Northallerton received the quality award for high standards.
Mr Almond said the award was a great honour. "Jimmy Savile has been coming to Thirsk for years and he says we serve the best fish and chips he has tasted - so we have his seal of approval too."
