A TRIP to a lighthouse and a scrap sculpture challenge are some of the events lined up for young people during Easter.
Chester West Community Project and Groundwork are holding an Easter Explorer event at Bullion Hall, Chester-le-Street, for children aged from eight to 12.
The events are next Tuesday; Thursday, April 17; Tuesday, April 22; and Thursday, April 24; and young people taking part can compete for a trophy for the best creation made from rubbish, embark on a treasure trail around Waldridge Fell and go orienteering at Souter Lighthouse, near South Shields. A riverside walk and other outdoor events are also organised.
Each session costs £2. To book, call 0191-389 0293.
