It was a busy weekend for Richmond Dales swimmers, Saturday and Sunday was the North Tyneside Sprint and Teams Events and on Sunday the younger swimmers took part in the second round of the Junior League at Killingworth.

Sam Sanderson, 12, showed the way as he won all his eight events, in five of the events he was pushed to PBs by his fellow club member Alec Wann who was second, losing by as little as 3/100 of a second in the 100m Backstroke. These races were great to watch and other club members supported both swimmers very noisily.

Sam and Alec teamed up with Iain Wilson and Adam Scott in the 4x50m Medley team race which they won in a time of 2.22.41, narrowly beating North Tyneside.

Richmond also won the 4x100m Medley Team for the 13 and over age group. Ryan Livingstone swam the first leg (Backstroke) in a PB time, to give the team a lead, which they held, Rachel Wilson swam a good Breaststroke, Anthony Burke, 14, in the 50m Freestyle.

At the Junior League held in Billingham there were individual wins for Sara Bianchi Bazzi in the two lengths Breaststroke, Rebecca Henderson in the two lengths backstroke and Charlotte Galvin in the two lengths Freestyle.
