PUPILS at a Chester-le-Street school are being awarded prizes for their hard work.
Roseberry Sports and Community College, formerly Roseberry Comprehensive School, is holding its annual awards evening this Thursday at 7pm.
A-level and GCSE certificates will be presented along with certificates for special achievements.
Guest of honour is Peter Slee, Northumbria University's pro vice-chancellor.
Among those receiving prizes are Rosamunde Vidler, who will pick up the Mackey Trophy for best A-level results and the Greenwell Endeavour Trophy, which recognises outstanding effort, progress and contributions.
Andrew McGuinness will get the Bainbridge Trophy for best GCSE results.
Paul Beattie, Emma Pearson and Deborah Skelton will receive Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Awards for their services to the community.
Each has completed 200 hours of voluntary work, in sporting activities.
