A concert will take place at Roseberry School in Pelton next week.

Chester-le-Street Riverside Band will perform with Roseberry Youth Connection on Thursday, April 24, at 7pm to raise money for charity.

Chairman of Chester-le-Street District Council Bill Laverick has chosen Supporting People in Community Enterprise, the Durham Area Leisure Disability Group and the Riverside Brass Band as his chosen charities this year.

Concert tickets, which include a free glass of wine or soft drink, are priced £6 adults or £4 for concessions and are available from either Sue Pearson or Teresa Greaves at the council's Civic Centre on (0191) 387 2001.
