A Darlington charity is celebrating 15 years of running meditation classes in the town.
The Atisha Buddhist Centre, a registered charity in Milton Street, has been holding classes at the Darlington Arts Centre for 15 years.
Organisers are holding a four-week introductory period to mark the anniversary and to educate people about Buddhism.
Visitors will be able to discover the benefits of meditation at the events and learn how to relax and free their minds. The talks will take place at the Arts Centre, in Vane Terrace, on Thursdays, from April 30 to May 15, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
The programme starts with work on calming the mind on April 30. The second week focuses on the benefits of meditation, week three on what to meditate on and the final one on how to meditate.
These is a suggested donation of £4 per class. Refreshments will be served after the talks.
