SIX Venture Scouts from the east Cleveland area are to be given the movement's highest awards.
All six completed a series of projects ranging from expedition training to community involvement to be eligible for the Queen's Scout award.
The six are: David Himsworth and Philip Williams from the 1st Loftus, David Lawson and Colin Martin from the 1st Brotton venture units, Gary O'Neill from the Central Redcar Venture Unit and Rebecca Wright from the Phoenix Venture Scout Unit in West Middlesbrough.
They will receive their awards from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council Mayor Eric Jackson at a ceremony in Eston Town Hall.
