LOCAL history will be under the spotlight next month with numerous events and activities taking place around the borough of Stockton.
The Historical Association's Local History Week has grown into a month-long event and Stockton's Museums' Service has planned a range of events.
Billingham Art Gallery will show work from schools, Tees Archaeology and Stockton Local History Society, as well as other groups.
The Art Gallery will also host the launch of a book called Just A Lad From The Village, by local author Ron Restall, on Thursday, from 10am.
The BBC bus will be at the museum on Tuesday, May 13, to help people with research on the Internet.
There will also be walks around Stockton High Street, Norton, Billingham and Hartburn.
