GUESTS attending a charity event at a leading tourist attraction are being asked to get into the 1940s' feel and enjoy dancing.

North Yorkshire's air museum has been chosen as the venue for the fundraising evening organised by WellBeing Health Research Charity for Women and Babies.

The event's 1940s' period theme at the Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington, York, has been inspired by the 60th anniversary of the RAF's Second World War Dambusters raid on Germany and guests are being encouraged to attend in authentic uniform or civilian dress of the era.

A traditional meal, live entertainment and dancing to the New York Dance Band will all take place in the museum's Naafi-style restaurant and function room, creating a memorable and enjoyable evening.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 17.

Tickets are available by contacting (01759) 371308, or (01904) 761176.
