SAFETY experts are going back to school next Thursday to begin a month-long Crime Challenge with youngsters in Easingwold.
The Hambleton Community Safety Partnership will work with Year 7 pupils at Easingwold School to explore their attitudes to safety issues.
The youngsters will take part in tasks covering subjects such as hoax calls, vandalism, drugs and anti-social behaviour. Expert advice will be handed out to the children over the five-week exercise from representatives of North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and Police.
"At the end of the challenge, we hope to have a list of priorities we can work together on to make life safer and better for young people" said Chris Fields, community safety manager.
Similar challenges, with rewards for the pupils, will take place at schools in Stokesley in June and Bedale in July.
