A RAPIDLY expanding preparatory school is offering scholarships worth up to 50 per cent of school fees for children talented in sport, music and academic studies.
St Martin's Ampleforth, situated in 14th Century Gilling Castle, Gilling East, near York, has not put a limit on the number of scholarships available.
They will be offered to children attaining the standards required and will last for the whole of their time at the co-educational school.
Academic scholarships are available for children aged nine to 12; music scholarships for seven to 13-year-olds; and sports scholarships for those aged ten to 12.
The school is holding a scholarship event on Friday and next Saturday, to which potential pupils are invited. Over the two days, there will be a range of assessments and information to help children and parents learn about the school.
To take part, call headteacher Stephen Mullen on (01439) 766600.
