NEW COURSES: The Washington Bridge Women's Project is hosting an introduction to aromatherapy on Thursday, May 8, and a first aid for beginners course on Friday, May 9, in the Washington Village Community Centre.
Both courses are free.
WILD WEST: The Washington Operatic Society is presenting Oklahoma!, at 7.15pm, from tomorrow until Saturday, with a matinee performance at 2.15pm on Saturday, in Washington School Theatre, in Spout Lane.
STORY TIME: The Washington Writers Group meets from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Wednesdays, in the Washington Millennium Centre, at Concord.
PARTNER UP: Classes in ballroom, sequence and Latin dancing are taught between 8.15pm and 9.15pm on Tuesdays, in the Washington Village Community Centre. Each class costs £2.50.
SCHOOL CHAMPS: Fatfield Primary School won the Washington five-a-side tournament and came second in the Columbia Cup. The swimming team became the first to win the Washington Small Schools Cup in a gala held in the Washington Leisure Centre.
MARTIAL ARTS: Tai Chi classes are held between 10am and noon on Fridays in the Biddick Arts Centre.
QESTION TIME: A quiz night has been started at 8.30pm on Wednesdays in the Woodlands Inn, Rickleton Village.
