THE appointment of the chief executive of Hartlepool Borough Council is expected to be approved today.
The council's appointments panel is recommending Paul Walker, the chief executive for Dacorum Borough Council, in Hertfordshire, be appointed to the post.
Mr Walker has been chief executive at Dacorum since 2000. Prior to that he was chief executive of Kettering Borough Council from 1993.
The Hartlepool post was previously held by Brian Dinsdale, who left in February after 14 years, to take up the post of chief executive at Middlesbrough Council.
The meeting will be held in Hartlepool Civic Centre, Victoria Road, at 2pm.
