THE British National Party has pledged to campaign for a better deal for taxi drivers in the town.

They also want Darlington's towns and cemeteries tidied up, with stricter treatment for those who vandalise them.

The party also wants to keep taxes low, save town centres from being killed off, shrink town hall bureaucracy, root out corruption by councillors, abolish council spending on projects designed to favour minorities, prevent asylum seekers being housed in the community and prevent a charge to householders for rubbish collection.

The party also wants to evict trouble families and hard drug dealers from estates, stop the sale of council assets such as school playing fields to fund excessive spending and fight to restore local democracy.

It also wants to give teachers back the right to smack pupils and oppose the use of speed traps as an extra tax on motorists
