A BREAKFAST show presenter has been appointed the new manager of a radio station.
Simon Grundy, who has presented the breakfast show on 103.4 Sun FM for the past five years, has taken over the management post.
He has worked for many stations during his 15-year career and three years ago was appointed programme controller at the Sunderland station.
He said: "I am really looking forward to taking over the top job and am convinced the radio station will go from strength to strength, as the people who work here are the best bunch of people I have ever worked with.
"It is a fantastic time to be taking over, as the radio station has never been so popular."
Mr Grundy, 33, who has been married to his wife Lisa for nine years, will continue to present the breakfast show.
