THE weather may have turned to rain but if proof were needed that spring has arrived, look no further than one of the country's great stately homes.
The recent conditions have encouraged flowers in the grounds of Castle Howard, near Malton, to flourish.
The grounds have been transformed by a riot of colour. The rhododendrons and magnolias in Ray Wood are beginning to emerge and the tulips in the grounds are also in bloom.
