CHILDREN in Darlington have taken to two wheels to help charity.
Youngsters from the town took part in a Blue Peter Bikeathon in South Park to raise money for Leukemia Research.
More than 25,000 children nationwide took part in the event yesterday.
Darlington organiser Linda Young said: "It is a great event and all in a good cause. Leukemia affects hundreds of children each year, and without money for research we can't continue to make progress towards improved treatments or a cure."
More than £850,000 has been raised by the past two Blue Peter Bikeathons and it is hoped that the weekend event will exceed the £1m mark.
