AN annual swimathon which has raised thousands of pounds for charity will be held at the weekend.
The event, organised for the Past 22 years by Rotary, Lions and Rotaract Clubs, has raised £260,000 for charities in the Sedgefield borough.
This year's event will be held at the Spennymoor Leisure Centre on Sunday.
Teams of up to six people can take part in the challenge, swimming in relays for 55 minutes, with trophies for the most lengths completed and largest sum of money raised.
