Thousands of delighted fans cheered Hartlepool United's promotion- winning team yesterday as the players were paraded around town in an open top bus.
Pool clinched promotion from the Third Division for only the third time in the club's history last month, and narrowly missed out on the title on Saturday, when they could only draw with Rushden and Diamonds.
