YOUNGSTERS will learn how to look after their smiles in a series of roadshows next week.
The oral health promotions team from Derwentside Primary Care Trust is visiting Sure Start projects to advise children and parents on dental hygiene, though songs and poetry. Activities include an oral health story, safe snack tasting, planning a healthy lunch and a toothbrush exchange.
The group will be at Horden Family Centre on Monday, from 10am to 11am and Sure Start Chester-le-Street, in Pelton Health Centre, on Tuesday, from 1pm until 2pm.
On Wednesday, the roadshow moves to the Positive Parenting class in Fishburn Community Centre from 10am to 11am and Sure Start Chilton, 10am to 3pm. The last stop is Sure Start Stanley, next Thursday, from 10am until noon.
