TIPS on making a good impression at job interviews were given by a beauty therapist in Chester-le-Street yesterday.
Caroline Mason, 32, offered advice on clothes and make-up at the seminar for jobseekers at the Red Lion Hotel, in Chester-le-Street.
The Improve Your Health, Improve Your Self, Improve Your Prospects event was organised by the Chester-le-Street Action Team for Jobs.
Carole Parker, jobs manager, said: "The first step to getting back to work for many people is improving their self-confidence and how they feel about themselves.
"That's why we have organised this event with people on hand to offer advice and support on image and self-presentation, as well as jobs and interview techniques."
The team helped Ms Mason set up her beauty therapy business in Pelton by funding the cost of refresher training.
