AN annual Swimathon which has raised thousands of pounds for charity will be held at the weekend.
The event, organised for the last 22 years by the Rotary, Lions and Rotaract Clubs, has raised £260,000 for charities in Sedgefield borough.
This year's event will be held at the Spennymoor Leisure Centre on Sunday, May 11.
Teams of up to six people can take part, swimming in relays for 55 minutes. Trophies will be awarded for the most lengths and the largest sum raised.
