Firefighters used breathing gear as they fought a house fire yesterday.
Officers were called to Aynsley Terrace, Consett, County Durham, shortly after 11.30am, after neighbours spotted smoke coming from the back of the house.
The fire, which started in a ground-floor room, caused severe smoke damaged.
