YOUNGSTERS can enjoy free open-air theatre shows this weekend.
Arabian Nights shows in Saltwell Park, Durham Road, Gateshead, from today until Monday. The production is by students from Northumbria University's drama and performance courses. Gavin Angus of Trimdon Colliery, County Durham, plays the role of a hunchback.
The Arabian Nights will be performed tonight and tomorrow at 6.30pm, on Sunday at 3.30pm and Monday at 3pm and 6.30pm.
Each performance lasts about two hours, including an interval.
The production is sponsored by regional development agency One NorthEast.
