CHILDREN are to be asked what they like most about their town.
Their contribution is being sought in celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the signing of a charter allowing Middlesbrough to set up its own corporation and so take its place as a recognised town.
Youngsters will be asked to take a favourite object or photograph to art workshops, called This Is My Middlesbrough, organised by artist Joanna Brelstaff at Middlesbrough Dorman Museum.
After seeking inspiration from exhibits on display, the children will work with Ms Brelstaff to produce artwork for their own "Boro-pic"which will be displayed at the museum.
* A photo exhibition with a difference opens at the Dorman, next month. The work of photography students from Cleveland College of Art and - all subjects who had their picture taken - were asked: What Makes You Smile?
