THE Great North Air Ambulance Service has been given a cash boost.
The former chairman of Hambleton District Council, Councillor Percy Featherstone, presented the service with £100.
He was given the money by the Showmen's Guild during its annual visit to Northallerton for the traditional May Fair.
Coun Featherstone opened the fair in the town's High Street and had been asked to donate the money to a charity of his choice.
