A man charged with four counts of gross indecency towards a child appeared before magistrates yesterday.
Charles Thompson, 25, is also accused of using threatening behaviour.
Darlington magistrates adjourned the case until June 17.
He was granted bail on condition he live at an address in the town's West Auckland Road and does not approach or address girls under the age of 16.
