Auckland CIU League: Cockton Hill landed the League Knockout Cup when they completed the victory, which they had set up in the first leg at West Auckland where they won 16-9.

This left them going into their home leg needing ten points to take the trophy. However West showed they were in no mood for conceding for they were ahead in two of the sections when Cockton Hill collected their tenth point.

In the darts section Cockton Hill took three of the five points, whilst at pool they were winning by four when the decisive point came. However West were leading the fives and threes section by three points and the dominoes by the odd point, whilst the teams shared the dominoes.

The score in the second leg was 10-7 in Cockton Hill's favour with the overall score being 26-16 to Cockton Hill. The League's Presentation Evening will be held at Tindale Crescent Club on Friday, 20 June.

Willington Ladies League

League positions were turned upside down when three of the four top teams went out of the League Dominoes Knockout Cup in the quarter finals. The league champions, Hunwick Joiners Arms went down by the odd point at Sunnybrow Brown Trout, whilst the third placed, Willington Burn disposed of runners-up, Willington Club B. The fourth placed Willington Market saw their cup dreams ended at Willington Lion and Unicorn.

No 11 CIU League

Ferryhill dropped their first point in the darts section when the failed to complete their third whitewash as the visiting Newfield took a point. Crook Belle Vue also dropped their first darts points when the visiting Middlestone Moor took two points.

Tony Nixon of Ferryhill hit two maximums, whilst Alan Richardson of the prospect, Micky Kidman of Middlestone Moor and Doug McCarthy of Crook Belle Vue each hit one. The best check-out of the season was set at 156 by Robert Douthwaite of Cockton Hill.

Ferryhill lead the darts section by thee points from Byers Green, who are three ahead of the Prospect, but the unbeaten Crook Belle Vue and Cockton Hill have matches in hand. The dominoes section is very tight at the top with Byers Green, Ferryhill and Crook Belle Vue sharing the top spot just one ahead of the Prospect. Ferryhill lead the pool section by four points from Byers Green, who are two ahead of the Victoria.
