A FIRE on an industrial estate is being treated as arson.
A transit-type van was damaged after a fire started next to a skip on St Helen Industrial Estate, St Helen Auckland, near Bishop Auckland.
Rubbish from the skip, which was next to Custom Design Limited, had been taken out and set alight. The fire brigade had to break into the premises to put the fire out.
Last night Bishop Auckland police appealed for witnesses to come forward.
