The following cases were heard at Darlington Magistrates' Court, yesterday.

MAN FINED: Sean Horner, 29, of Sherborne Close, Darlington was fined £100 and ordered to pay £25 costs after pleading guilty to being drunk and disorderly and possessing cannabis.

CASE ADJOURNED: The case against Steven Wheatley, 42, of Bakewell Place, Newton Aycliffe, was adjourned until June 17. He is charged with indecently assaulting a male and possession of an indecent photograph of a child.

GUILTY PLEAS: William Robinson, 29, of Dumfries Street, Darlington, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary and one of attempted theft. The case was adjourned until June 24 at Newton Aycliffe. Robinson was granted bail.

COURT DATE: Lawrence Bainbridge, 30, of Smithfield Road, Darlington, who is accused of causing grievous bodily harm, will appear at Teesside Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing on Tuesday, after his case was adjourned.

ORDERS BREACHED: The case against Mark Appleby, 19, of Latimer Road, Darlington was adjourned until tomorrow. He has pleaded guilty to three breaches of community orders, failing to surrender, driving a motorcycle while disqualified, driving with excess alcohol, with no insurance and without protective headgear.

DRIVING CHARGES: The case against Karl Wilson, 23, of Barden Moor Road, Darlington was adjourned until June 26. He has pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and having no insurance.

NEW DATE: The case against Matthew Disley, 30, of Belvedere Road, Darlington was adjourned until June 24. He is accused of failing to provide a specimen.

ADJOURNMENT MADE: Stuart Gordon, 30, of North Road, Darlington, will appear on Tuesday. He is accused of driving with excess alcohol, without insurance or a licence.

DRUGS FINE: Michael Riddell, 22, of Grange Crescent, Coxhoe was fined £70 and ordered to pay £30 costs after he pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.

PLEA ENTERED: Nicholas Parkinson, 30, of Greenbank Road, Darlington has pleaded guilty to assaulting Alexander Millard. The case was adjourned until tomorrow.

TRIAL DATE: James Southwick, 23, of Brooke Terrace, Darlington, will appear for trial at Teesside Crown Court on July 14. He is accused of causing grievous bodily harm.
