Darlington Building Society is proving that the number 13 is not unlucky for some as it continues to break records as the longest-serving sponsor of local cricket.
This will be the 13th consecutive season that the company has sponsored the North Yorkshire and South Durham Premier Cricket League, which consists of 25 teams based throughout the region from Barnard Castle to Redcar.
Ken Gardiner, in his last season as president of the league, said: "Darlington Building Society's support has been instrumental in the growing success of the league.
"Such sustained and enthusiastic support is rarely seen in the world of cricket and I hope this record-breaking relationship will be maintained for years to come."
