A FORMER Darlington man accused of causing the death of a young man in a car accident has appeared in court.
Michael Proctor, 31, a graphic designer, of Leam Terrace, Leamington, Warwickshire, is accused of causing the death by dangerous driving of Simon Hayes, on May 18.
Magistrates in Leamington Spa committed Mr Proctor's case to Warwick Crown Court for later this month.
He faces a further charge of perverting the course of justice, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.
Mr Proctor was granted bail with conditions that he lives with his parents at their home in Salvation Road, Darlington.
