Detectives investigating a disturbance that left a 29-year-old man with serious head injuries are appealing for witnesses to step forward.
Police were called to a home in Station Road, Eston, at around 8pm on Saturday. The victim was last night still being treated at Middlesbrough General Hospital.
Officers have arrested two men in connection with the incident and released them on police bail, pending further enquiries.
